Requisition ID 17314Position Summary:This role is to serve as Contract Manager for the Global Employment Legal team. The team, among other things, is responsible for the negotiation, creation, and distribution of the company's employment agreements, severance/separation agreements, Human Resources (HR) vendor/independent contractor agreements, and other HR-related agreements. The Contract Manager will serve as point person for administering and processing a vast amount of employment agreements, separation/severance agreements, and independent contractor agreements every year. Candidates must possess superior oral and written communications skills and be able to work collaboratively with clients and other team members in a team environment.Responsibilities:1. Provide assistance regarding the creation, distribution, and processing of the company's employment contracts, severance agreements, HR vendor/independent contractor agreements, and other ad hoc HR-related agreements. 2. Assist Vice President Legal by analyzing and summarizing comments on employment and severance agreements from opposing representation.3. Manage and coordinate all aspects for the facilitating, processing and monitoring of employment contracts from requisition to execution including, but not limited to, any necessary research or follow-up, updating of all relevant databases, providing varied and sometimes complex database reports, and other related services and customer support for Human Resources and the Employment legal team. 4. Format, draft, and/or review employment agreements including amendments, renewal notices, release agreements, and related documents, under the supervision of attorneys, to support Human Resources. Liaise with HR to finalize such agreements.5. Format and draft basic HR-related vendor/independent contractor agreements and severance agreements.6. Manage and implement employment contract management process and procedures and severance process and procedures.7. Trouble shooting on various legal issues, including preparing responses to claim letters and subpoenas, and drafting basic legal letters and agreements.8. Work closely with attorneys to develop procedures to manage workflow for internal client requests.9. Serve as an internal resource on status of employment agreements, manage workflow for internal client requests, and regularly update internal databases on employment agreement status.10. Review and coordinate approvals for employment agreement and severance requests under the supervision of attorneys, for Human Resources.11. Respond to requests for attorney support, including triaging issues and scheduling attorney consultation time. 12. Provide support on ad-hoc HR Legal projects.Requirements:* Minimum of 4 years relevant experience, preferably in the media industry, or at a law firm or in-house legal department* Bachelors' degree preferred; paralegal training certification is a plus* Experience with entertainment industry preferred* Excellent writing, organizational, and attention to detail skills* Must have the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with internal clients* Ability to work well under pressure* Ability to handle high volume of work and multi-task a variety of assignments, as well as recognize priorities and manage time effectively to meet deadlines* Ability to function on an independent basis, with moderate supervision* Excellent computer skills a must (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, knowledge/experience setting up databases, tables, knowledge of redlining software)* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
