Requisition ID 17437Position Summary:As a Staff Auditor at Discovery, you will work contribute on teams reviewing financial, operational, and compliance risks / controls throughout the Company's business units, both domestically and internationally. A Staff Auditor is a valued member of the Internal Audit team and will obtain valuable experience and exposure to the Company's business operations. A successful candidate must be able to fully support the Audit Lead and produce quality deliverables timely and within budget. This candidate must also be able to work independently and in a team environment.Responsibilities:1. Effectively execute and complete assigned projects on the department's risk-based Internal Audit Plan2. Assist in creating / updating process narratives or flows, audit programs, and test procedures for assigned projects3. Participate and perform procedures related to the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley or internal controls over financial reporting assessment 4. Work on various ad hoc projects for Internal Audit leadership and business partners as assigned5. Ensure all workpapers and deliverables are in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and department's quality standards6. Research and report on significant accounting, auditing and internal control related topics 7. Perform procedures in compliance with the group's quality control standards 8. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business and financial personnelRequirements:* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field* Ability to travel globally up to 25% to 35%, including international locations requiring a passport* Possess excellent communication skills, attention to details, time management, and a desire to be challenged and grow professionally* Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills that adds value and provides results to the Company* Possesses communication skills and is confident to interact with all levels of the organization * Ability to work independently and in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills and collaboration* Strong work ethic with self-accountability for high quality deliverables and achieving departmental goals* Has a positive attitude and can work through challenges and changing circumstances* Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information* Highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity* Organized and can prioritize work with competing priorities* Ability to listen and follow directions* Proficiency in Microsoft products* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
