Senior Vice President of Marketing
The Senior Vice President of Marketing for Nat Geo Expeditions will lead the NG Travel/Expeditions marketing team and will be responsible for developing and overseeing marketing strategy, branding, print and digital marketing, social media, public relations, as well as the development of marketing channels through other National Geographic divisions, marketing distribution partnerships, customer contact strategy, and marketing analysis and reporting. Responsibilities*Lead development of marketing and branding strategy, and oversee revenue and marketing expenses to meet or exceed annual budget for NG Travel/Expeditions group. Spearhead overarching brand initiatives and ensure consistency of messaging across all platforms.*Oversee all digital marketing for NG Expeditions, including websites, email newsletters, paid search, online advertising, social media, content development, affiliate marketing, and marketing through Nat Geo channels.*Oversee all aspects of direct and print marketing. Lead marketing communications, including promotions, sweepstakes, and public relations for the NG Travel/Expeditions group.*Oversee marketing analysis and reporting, including digital and print circulations. Lead CRM, customer contact strategy and travel loyalty program.*Lead marketing for NG Expeditions' expansion into global markets. Collaborate with regional partners to develop and implement strategies for building sales capabilities in new markets. Fully leverage National Geographic's print, digital and television assets to build global awareness and sales of the NG Travel offering. Develop new marketing and distribution partnerships to build awareness and reach.Qualifications*Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field. MBA a plus. At least ten (10) years of experience in marketing in a senior executive position in the travel industry, preferably in the high end or experiential/educational tour operations sector. Experience in brand marketing a plus.*English/excellent communication skills and attention to detail.*Ability to work with and understand financial spreadsheets and contracts*Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)*Exceptional marketer with excellent oral and written communications skills. Successful track record in building a brand and business. Strong leadership and analytical skills, creative problem solving skills, ability to multitask, commitment to high quality standards. In depth understanding of our segment of the travel market and strong customer orientation, and experience working in fast paced environment.
