In order to be considered for this position, you must submit samples of your work or a link to your digital portfolio with your resume and application We are seeking a thoughtful and talented graphic designer to join our growing team of inbound content designers on the 2U marketing creative team. This position will work closely with the inbound marketing team, which consists of marketing managers, content specialists, digital journalists, editors and web developers, to create powerful, visual stories that are published on our university partner program blogs. While reporting to the senior graphic designer, this position will have creative freedom and be responsible for managing his/her work and relationships with the team. The inbound marketing team is a group of highly energetic and creative individuals who strive to create high-quality, innovative content in an ever-evolving field. The graphic designer position is responsible for creating, supporting, and art directing all visual content produced by the inbound team. + Design a wide variety of content on behalf of our higher-education partners, including: mini-sites, infographics, data visualizations, e-books and more + Thoughtfully integrate writing and design to create the best visual stories and digital experiences + Help drive inbound content strategy by providing feedback into creative briefs and contributing ideas throughout the creative process + Take direction from creative briefs and collaborate with the team to create strategic content that fulfills inbound marketing goals + Communicate directly with internal stakeholders to successfully and efficiently meet the deliverable requirements of a project + Partner with web developers to create responsive mini-sites and landing pages + Continuously discover and share found inspiration and new industry best practices to maximize efficiency and creativity + Manage multiple projects and remain flexible through revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail + Eloquently present and defend design work + Bachelor's degree in design required; master's a plus + Minimum 3 years of design experience + Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite + Expert typography skills + Proficient understanding of multimedia design + Basic understanding of HTML/CSS + Creative problem solving skills, conceptual thinking and a strong portfolio + Meticulous attention to detail + Ability to find creative, unorthodox solutions to complex challenges + Collaborative, team-player mentality + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously + Openness to feedback and willingness to take direction + Ability to assert ideas, take initiative and drive projects + Inbound content marketing and/or content design experience + Experience working with writers and editors + Strong writing skills + Ability to work with and direct web developers + Data visualization experience and/or solid math skills + Calm, flexible and able to work under pressure or with short deadlines + Understanding of accessible design and accessibility standards + Leadership Our work We strive to maintain the highest design standards for our partner program inbound marketing assets.
