Duties The successful selectee will perform the following duties: * Serve as the primary Security Plans Officer, Information Security Program Manager, and Operations Security Manager Implement relevant security measures to ensure national security * Provide assistance and/or backup support in the Industrial Security program * Implement security requirements in the areas of information, operations, personnel, operations, and industrial security Travel Required * Occasional Travel * Travel reuiqred up to 10% Relocation Authorized * No ## Job Requirements Key Requirements * Must be a US Citizen. * Males must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. www.sss.gov * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period. * See Other Information and Requirements section for additional requirements. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing Security Specialist work which involves interpreting governmental or corporate security regulations to administer and oversee the implementation of security policies for Information (INFOSEC), Operations (OPSEC), Personnel (PERSEC), and Industrial Security Programs and performing all of the following: 1) Reviewing, preparing, coordinating, and publishing security plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), security training briefings, and instructions related to INFOSEC, OPSEC, PERSEC, and Industrial Security; 2) Performing threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments in support of Information (INFOSEC), Operations (OPSEC), Personnel (PERSEC), and Industrial Security Programs; 3) Reviewing, tracking, and updating access requests to ensure that all personnel possess the appropriate clearances; 4) Developing training materials and assisting in delivering training for Information (INFOSEC), Operations (OPSEC), Personnel (PERSEC), and Industrial Security Programs Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0000/security-administration-series-0080/ You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. **Education:** There is no educational substitution for experience for this series at this grade level. **Requirements:** * A secret level security clearance is a requirement of this position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal.
