The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army. **About the Position:** This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to US Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This is a Career Program (CP) Position 35 Duties Responsible for the development, planning, oversight, administration, management, implementation, and enforcement across all regional ARL installations/activities of the DCIPS intelligence-related security disciplines assigned to ALC. You will exercise responsibility for DCIPS intelligence-related security disciplines (Information, Industrial, and Personnel, and the security training programs associated with these disciplines). Ensure effective and efficient security programs are established and maintained throughout the region. Interpret Department of Army or ARL/ALC headquarters guidance and promulgates implementing directives and guidance to installations/activities. Provide definitive technical advice and assistance to commanders, directors, and other senior authorities regarding establishment of comprehensive security programs that do not unduly hamper command/activity operations. Provide oversight of ALC installation/activity security programs within the region. Establish oversight policy, practices, and metrics that reflect the security posture of supported installations/activities. Oversee and/or conduct studies and analyses to identify program issues and develops/implements remedial actions Advise ARL/ALC of recommended policy/procedural changes. Evaluate security program resources within the region and initiates programming, budgeting, and manpower actions to address requirements. Exercise supervisory responsibility over personnel assigned to the ALC security office. Plan and assign work for timeliness and to ensure objectives are met. Approve leave, recommend awards, and provide input for performance ratings. Travel Required * Occasional Travel * Position may require TDY 15% or less of the time. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: demonstrated experience (1) in the development, planning, oversight, administration, management and implementation of security policies and programs for Information, Industrial, and Personnel security disciplines. (2) Development and oversight of an organization-wide security training program involving multiple security disciplines. (3) Ability to provide a full range of supervisory related duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13). 0080: Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas: * SECURITY POLICIES AND PROGRAMS FOR INFORMATION, INDUSTRIAL, AND PERSONNEL SECURITY DISCIPLINES * DEVELOPMENT AND OVERSIGHT OF AN ORGANIZATION-WIDE SECURITY TRAINING PROGRAM * ABILITY TO PROVIDE SUPERVISION TO PERSONNEL NOTE: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency so long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower grade in the series.
