Requisition Number 17-0053 Post Date 4/10/2017 Title Assistant Branch Manager City Chantilly State VA Description The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for the following:The delivery of an exceptional member service experience through their assigned branchThe supervision and leadership of branch teammates and will be required to provide industry leading service while assisting with and supporting all aspects of sales, service and transaction activities in the branch.Will provide direction and leadership by supervising, training and assuring quality control over all activities of the Branch Team Leader, MSRs and Loan Officers depending on assigned branchOversees the daily operations in coordination with the Branch Manager, being accountable for all goals, profitability, internal controls, work processed and for ensuring that all personnel consistently exceed service standardsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Deliver outstanding service that delivers on our Service Promises- Meet or exceed the service goals for the position- Knowledge of the Credit Uniona€ (TM) s products and services- Complete BVS classes as assigned- Maintain department policy and procedure documentation accordingly- Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)Maintain supervision and leadership of branch personnel and demonstrate strong personal effectiveness. Be responsible for all work completed in the branch. Assist with overseeing the daily operations in the branch in coordination with the BTL or in the absence of the Branch Manager. Accountable for all work processed in the Branch and for ensuring that all personnel consistently exceed standards for quality customer care at all levels.a€ cents Ensure business expertise and member focus by maintaining updated industry knowledge and being proactive in identifying industry trends. Ability to act as a change agent; suggest ways to support change, process improvements and coaches others through changea€ cents Take personal accountability for goals, attitude, behavior, participation and contributionsa€ cents In conjunction with the Branch Manager, observe the staff daily and meet weekly to review skill gaps, set goals and develop plans to improve performance. Look for ways to raise the bar on employee development, skills and return on investmenta€ cents Contribute to performance evaluations, planned developmental coaching sessions and counseling documentation in addition to supporting the manager with paid time off approvalsa€ cents Knowledge of policies and procedures for all products and services available through the Credit Union, NWCM, and other business partners/vendor scan by cross selling them to membersa€ cents Leads by example in sales, service and referrals. Meets monthly referral goals, trains and coaches branch staff to do the samea€ cents In coordination with the Branch Manager and Branch Team Leader, responsible for monitoring the branch casha€ cents Ensure audit controls are followed and maintain strict security measures utilizing dual and internal controls. Track and monitor teller, vault and TCR/TCD differences and reports concerns to Managera€ cents Responsible for understanding and sharing with the team the branch scorecard. Assist the Branch Manager with developing plans to address areas needing improvementa€ cents Responsible for contributing to all required 90-day and yearly performance reviews for branch staffa€ cents If the manager is unable, attend and participate in networking and community outreach activitiesa€ cents Perform business relationship management responsibilitiesa€ cents Is an Assistant Treasurer and performs Notary and Signature Guarantee dutiesa€ cents Participate in special projects and task force groups studying and analyzing operational and member service areas. Ability to lead staff meetings and contribute during Member Banking Team conference callsa€ cents Process loans as required depending. Understand loan products and how to read credit reportsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:In the absence of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager supervises the entire branch. Responsibilities include overseeing the branch staff and assisting with training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.a€ cents Championed as the branch second in command in the absence of the Branch Managera€ cents Professionally onboard, develop, coach and evaluate the assigned staffa€ cents May participate in the selection / hiring process with the Branch Managera€ cents Provide operations oversight; complete operational functions such as, approving transactions, cash control, branch security, audits, internal controls, ensure compliance, policies and procedures are adhered toa€ cents Identify skill gaps of the staff and work with the branch leadership team and Training Department on available resources and job aidsa€ cents Open and close the branch under dual control and / or operating the branch in the absence of managementa€ cents Respond and report service incidents and their positive resolutiona€ cents Coach branch team on personal and performance improvement goals Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:Assistant Branch Managers must possess the requisite certifications and experience to supervise front line staff and assist in managing branch operations in accordance with established credit union policies, operational procedures, and security safeguards. They must also personally possess and be able to confidently coach and have strong engagement skills that cultivate member relations, initiate referrals, and effectively cross-sell products and services.
