The position is located in the Human Resources Division (HRD) of the Office of the Executive Director and reports to the Employee Acquisition and Operations Branch Chief. As a member of the STARS program, you will gain first- hand experience in the federal government by providing clerical and administrative support to the HRD and other offices throughout FERC. STARS at FERC:
• Provide administrative support to program offices,
• Complete special projects for the Human Resources Division,
• Complete special projects for other offices throughout FERC,
• Polish their communication and professional skills in a real world setting

At time of appointment, applicant must submit proof of Fall 2017 enrollment.

These positions are temporary, they may be converted to a full time, career-conditional position. Any conversions to full time or career-conditional status is neither implied nor guaranteed.

  • Successfully complete a background investigation.
  • Applicants must submit transcripts at time of application.
  • Transcripts must show Spring 2017 courses.
  • Candidates must have one full year of general experience at the lower grade level or equivalent education. General experience is described as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.

    Education Requirement: Two full academic years of post-high school study OR possess an associate's degree AND must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
