This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Enterprise Information Technology Services Directorate (EITSD), which is responsible for the Information Technology (IT) services and support for WHS, the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA). The mission of EITSD is to provide world class information management and information technology solutions to enable WHS, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and other DOD Components to achieve their functional missions and objectives in support of the Secretary of Defense. EITSD is committed to the concepts of utilizing best practices, streamlining business processes, improving performance, and striving for excellence in all that is done.
Washington Headquarters Services was established as a Department of Defense Field Activity on October 1, 1977, as part of a DoD headquarters streamlining initiative. Approximately 1,200 civilian and military employees as well as contract staff are organized into 12 directorates and offices. WHS personnel contribute to the mission of our Defense customers by managing DoD-wide programs and operations for the Pentagon Reservation and DoD leased facilities in the National Capital Region. WHS is organizationally aligned under the Director of Administration for the Office of the Deputy Chief Management Officer.

You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to:
-Develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout the agency and make decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important IT policies or programs
-Provide expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues
-Apply new developments to previously unsolvable problems
-Apply IT Enterprise Management Systems methods and practices and new and innovative customer support methods and technologies in order to plan, implement, and manage Enterprise Management Systems designed to effectively recognize, report, track and resolve problems, and evaluate the feasibility of adapting new methods to enhance customer satisfaction.

Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

You may NOT substitute education in lieu of specialized experience at this grade level.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
-The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
-This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. The employee is subject to random urinalysis testing in accordance with guidelines.
