This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard, Deputy Commandant for Mission Support (DCMS), Assistant Commandant for Human Resources (CG-1)B, Strategy and Capability Office (CG-1B3), in Washington, DC.

  • To be considered at the GS-14 level: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. For this position, specialized experience includes; supporting the development to Human Factors Engineers (HFE) and Human Systems Integration (HSI) programs; monitoring the progress and provide guidance to other HFE and Habitability team members; providing HFE and Habitability support to the systems engineering community; providing technical leadership to promote and integrate HFE and Habitability into the program; providing assistance and guidance to other HFE and Habitability practitioners; establisings and maintaining effective liaison with other HFE and Habitability practioners within the agency, academia and industry; and representing the organization in briefings, meetings and other contacts.

    Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
