Speech Language Pathologist
Ivymount School is currently seeking candidates to join our Speech-Language Therapy Department. Full- and part-time positions are available. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic, highly trained team of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. Our Speech-Language Therapy Department is currently comprised of approximately 12 therapists who have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, including supervision and mentorship, in house CEU workshops/presentations, trainings, community presentations, and research opportunities.
Speech-Language Pathologists are responsible for providing direct IEP speech services and work collaboratively with classroom teams. Therapy is delivered during individual and small group sessions using a push-in and pull-out model. Speech-Language Pathologists collaborate with classroom teams to plan and implement groups that target social thinking skills, conversation skills, and functional communication skills. Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and hold a Maryland State license in Speech-Language Pathology. Clinical Fellowship Candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience delivering school-based speech-language therapy services and working with students on the autism spectrum disorder and other special needs is essential.
