Requisition Number 17-0013 Post Date 1/10/2017 Title Manager, Internal Controls and Financial Reporting City Sparks State MD Position Type Full-Time Description a€ cents Primary liaison between Internal Audit and Finance Department, coordinating internal audit procedures, walkthroughs, etc.a€ cents Coordinate monthly account reconciliation meetings, ensuring compliance with policy, preparing meeting minutes and ensuring open items are addressed timely and appropriately.a€ cents Prepare and review accounting policiesa€ cents Prepares financial reports, financial statements and other statements, and management reports.a€ cents Works with Corporate on consolidation and year end reporting issues. a€ cents Works with staff and management on debt and funding arrangements, including data analysis and presentation preparation for bank and rating agencies meetings.a€ cents Coordinates with subsidiary locations on financial reporting and general accounting matters.a€ cents Assists in all internal control requirements and testing.a€ cents Participates in and provides support to external auditors for quarterly reviews, year-end audits, agreed upon procedures, and internal control audits.a€ cents People Leadership: Hires, develops, and directs team members to maximize individual and team performance. Ensures performance objectives of team members are aligned with the goals of the organization. Measures performance effectiveness, and provides feedback and coaching to team members in support of development and future career goals. a€ cents Other duties as assigned, including special projects. Requirements a€ cents BA/BS degree in business, accounting, finance or related field of study. MBA preferred. CPA required.a€ cents 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and prior management experience.a€ cents Experience with financial instruments and related transactions (leasing, derivatives, etc.), and Financial Reporting.a€ cents Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Strong proficiency in Excel. Accounting and reporting systems. .
