Commercial Insurance Account Manager Washington, DC Job Title: Commercial Insurance Account Manager Requisition #: 17-0003 Department: Commercial Insurance Location: Washington, DC FLSA Status: Exempt Prepared Date: 3/27/2017 Reports to: Senior Manager, Commercial LinesSUMMARY:Serve as key relationship manager of Commercial Insurance clients with respect to renewal retention. Identify coverage gaps and propose solutions to ensure proper protection. Provide clients with expertise and recommendations on property and casualty and life and health exposures.ESSENTIAL DUTIED AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide customer service to clients using a consultative approach and relationship building, which includes client visits, inquiry response, utilization of product knowledge, participation in client meetings, and attention to other client needs. Partner with Account Executive on assigned Commercial accounts providing organizational and technical support. Manage renewal process to include submissions of policy applications, obtaining quotations and review of renewal terms and conditions. Manage all changes affecting insurance coverage. Take first reports of loss from clients and report to Claims department within required time frame according to the Standard Operating Procedures. Prepare invoices and validate payments as necessary. Stay abreast of changing insurance markets and products to provide clients with the best options possible. Utilize and maintain the agency management system (TAM) per the department s Standard Operating Procedures to provide an excellent customer experience and prevent E&O incidents.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience. Minimum 3 years of client facing experience in the insurance industry. Property and Casualty License and must be able to obtain Life and Health license within 3 months of hire. Ability to provide excellent customer service to global clients, while being attuned to cultural differences. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to travel internationally and service clients located in different time zones.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of international insurance products.
