Req Number 18490BR Job Title Manager, Marketing City Baltimore Institution Walden University External Job Description GENERAL SUMMARYWe are currently seeking a Manager, International Marketing to work in our Baltimore location as a member of the Laureate Partners marketing team, reporting to the Director of Marketing. The Manager, International Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing branding and product positioning campaigns, marketing strategies, market opportunity analysis, and uncovering opportunities to drive leads and enrollments for international individuals throughout the University. He/she will be responsible for the Coordination of day-to-day international brand and marketing activities, including relationship management with partners, organizations, businesses, and universities. This role requires a successful individual who is able to juggle multiple priorities and demands in order to achieve a positive outcome for the business entity. The demonstration of an ability to communicate interpersonally with a wide range of stakeholders across cultures and grasp differing viewpoints clearly and articulating the information gleaned in an international business strategy for the university will be an integral function of the role.This individual will be responsible for understanding the target markets and collaborating with cross-functional team members to develop an integrated marketing plan designed to generate inquiries to meet growth goals. The qualified individual will have the proven ability to strategically identify and analyze key marketing opportunities in the international environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with various functional departments across the organization to include product development, operations, and academics to ensure a targeted marketing effort related to international growth opportunities for the University and specific Colleges as appropriate to top priority markets. In addition, the individual will work collaboratively with other marketing departments to solicit input on strategies and tactics behind a strategic marketing plan directed to stakeholder needs.Ensure international audience-marketing plans are synergistic with overall educational institution positioning and strategies for Laureate Partners. Individual will inform the organization of key policy issues and developments related to international students to ensure the appropriate marketing plan and tactics are initiated.Develop integrated marketing plans with a multi-channel approach ie( Online Advertising, info sessions, website, Tradeshow, Print Advertising)Responsible for ensuring the business plans are executed and results are analyzed for future direction. Requires ability to understand and manage P&Ls, budgets, and market research data implications.Represent the Laureate Partners marketing team resources as a member of the product cross-functional team.Identify issues; engage appropriate marketing team members as necessary.Identify and execute on unique messaging and product attributes.Lead cross-functional execution of all marketing plan initiatives.Track performance of marketing strategy through measurement and analysis of prospective student inquiries, conversion, and retention to understand effectiveness and ROI.Initiate and lead course correction with their cross-functional team members when issues arise in achieving goals.Collaborate with Research and Analysis team to articulate high-level strategic questions to help guide the data collection and reporting process.Lead the process to respond to competitive and market trend analyses, ensuring that strategic decisions are data driven.Develop and coordinate market research and segmentation activities including focus groups, surveys, customer interviews and preliminary research.Take ownership of assigned products and contribute as a team player by applying strong leadership skills and building a high performance, cross-functional team environment. External Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEThe successful candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:Minimum 5+ years marketing experience required, with a strong background in international marketing or product management. Bachelor's Degree required. MBA or graduate level education preferred, preferably in the international area.Must possess a clear understanding of key policy issues, dynamics and developments in international recruiting, including demonstrated experience with market research and competitive intelligence gathering methods, and marketing to B2B and B2C.Co-Marketing, Advertising, direct or Web marketing experience in the international arena required. Knowledge of product and project management principles, practices, methods, and terminology.Skilled in planning, organizing, and project management.Skilled in budget development and management.Experience in understanding market research and business analyticsExceptional problem solving and analytic skills. Possess strong leadership abilities in the areas of managing and executing marketing programs and tactics. Possess experience in developing marketing plans and tactics to drive lead generation and conversion activities in the healthcare arena.Experience in working with Lead-generating marketing programs that include but not limited to media, seminars, trade shows, digital, events and on-line campaigns. Must have experience developing and managing a budget and understanding financial implications of marketing programs. Experience managing strategic projects, ability to understand big picture. Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Strong relationship building skills. A good listener, collaborator, and influencer. High level of enthusiasm, functions well in a team-driven and highly dynamic environment. Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills. Previous experience in the higher education marketplace is a plus as well. Brand management experience with a consumer packaged goods, service, education, publishing, or media company preferred.Advanced critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis skills.Intermediate skills in budget development and management preferred.Proficient with intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and Internet software. Must thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.Travel 10% of the time.
