Human Resources Intern - Summer
Edelman Financial Services, one of the nation's largest and most well-known financial planning firms, is seeking aHuman ResourcesIntern for our Fairfax, VA location. This position will provide assistance in all areas of Human Resources (Employee Engagement, Training, Talent Acquisition, Benefits) and day-to-day functions. You will have an opportunity to participate in various projects allowing you to strengthen your strategic, organizational, and team building skills. Responsibilities:Organizing and maintaining employee filesScanning and filing employee documentsHandling miscellaneous items from outside vendors, such as ordering flowers, food, sports tickets, theater tickets, etc.Working as a liaison to the events planning team to coordinate necessary efforts for corporate eventsSupporting training initiatives by reviewing PowerPoint presentations, worksheets, preparing for training classes, etc.Assisting HR staff with various research and/or special projectsProviding recruiting assistance with candidate coordination, resume reviewing, sourcing, etc.Performing other related duties as required and assignedRequirements:Open to current college students in their Junior or Senior year or up to 1 year after graduating with a Bachelor's degreeAdvanced expertise in Microsoft ExcelProficient in using Microsoft Word and OutlookDesire to learn about Human Resources and/or the financial services industryStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organization skills with strong attention to detailAbility to work in a team-oriented environmentPosition requires high level of responsibility regarding confidential information; must maintain confidentiality at all times For more information: www.edelmanfinancial.com EOE.
