Principal System Engineer

TS/SCI Clearance Required

Tampa, FL

    Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. Should possess in depth knowledge of Exchange 2016, Mail Gateway/Guard administration and engineering. Should have functional knowledge of automated systems deployment methods. Maintains system documentation. Should possess in depth knowledge of storage administration to include but not limited to NetApp and EMC. Design, configure, administer and upgrade all aspects of a VMWARE or HyperV environment to include virtual desktop infrastructure Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. In-depth knowledge and experience with PowerShell scripting and automation Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.In-depth knowledge and remediation methodologies of DISA compliance standards and checklists Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.  Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.  Participates in special projects as required. Must have comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support. Must have comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software. Will require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment. Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. Must be able to achieve Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent) within 90 days of hire for positions requiring elevated privileges and ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire. This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide. 
Additional specific certifications may be required.

The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications 8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.
