Assoc Technician, Network
Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks. 1. Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques. 2. Installs and configures network hardware and software. 3. Provides network troubleshooting and support. 4. Provides technical support and training to end-users. 5. Administers network security. 6. Backs up file server data/disks. 7. Provides minor to moderately complex server maintenance. 8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. 9. Participates in special projects as required. 10. Security + required. 11. Information Assurance technical (IAT) II required. 12. Provide facility management services and touch maintenance services for all servers and equipment managed by 690 COG organizations at the APC locations. 13. Responsible for monitoring the Area Processing Center for network, server, operating system problems. Provide the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines, modems, and terminals). Monitor and contros the performance and status of the network resources. Must possess a current DoD 8570 certification, level will be based on work center assignment. OEM/Industry certifications will be required per contract requirement. Education Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Qualifications 0-1 years of directly related experience supporting network operations.
