Associate Director, Strategic Engagement and CRM - University Information System

University Information Services (UIS) provides Georgetown University with the core technology resources and support services for teaching, learning, and research.

The Associate Director, Strategic Engagement and CRM, manages the successful implementation of a modernized advancement system for Georgetown University utilizing Salesforce.  S/he leads requirements gathering, configuration and execution of a Constituent Management system with functionality to support students, faculty, staff and alumni; and  leads all communications, change management, training, development and execution of strategies, migration and processing of data into the new system from existing enterprise systems.  The Associate Director reviews, analyzes, prioritizes, configures and evaluates the business systems and users' needs; and documents requirements and defines business processes, policies and procedures that are parallel and aligned with business strategies. Duties include but are not limited to:

Implementation

  • Evaluates, documents, and makes recommendations on the implementation flow for Georgetown University's business processes as defined by the Phase I project.
  • Identifies data points and critical data required to be mapped into the new system, manages the transition of data, and cleans up data as required for integration into the new system.
  • Participates in the development of test and implementation plans: test scenarios, test data, and expected results. 

Communication

  • Documents requirements for all business Processes. 
  • Modifies and creates GU policies and procedures.  
  • Tests the business processes in Salesforce. 
  • Documents and conducts training for all business processes.  
  • Completes weekly status reports for the Project Director. 
  • Conducts weekly status meetings to proactively communicate the progress of the implementation plan.

Transition

  • Meets with relevant University departments and stakeholders to understand current business processes and analyze how best to transition these processes, work flow and data to a new system. 
  • Recommends changes to current processes or new processes based on the review and analysis of business requirements and how they will be carried out in the new system - to include considerable follow up with these departments to ensure that business flow is properly understood, documented and ready to transition to a new system. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems or some related field
  • 5 -7 of progressively responsible experience in IT support activities, data warehouse support activities, or business- preference for implementing enterprise applications, Salesforce solutions or other CRM systems and/ or experience in Higher Education strongly desired
  • Experience with Advancement systems such as Millenium Sage or implementation of enterprise fundraising software such as iModules, CVENT or other event management systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advancement and fundraising applications, systems and modern data analysis and reporting tools
  • Ability to analyze and document business processes in a technical format.    
  • Understanding of project management software
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical material in a straight forward manner
  • Ability to communicate with multiple constituents on campus, to include senior management, faculty, staff and IT professionals
  • Ability to keep communication lines open and moving forward in a productive manner, in order to complete this essential technical project in a timely manner
