Associate Director, Strategic Engagement and CRM - University Information Services

The Associate Director, Strategic Engagement and CRM, is responsible for assisting in managing the successful implementation of a modernized advancement system for Georgetown University utilizing Salesforce.  S/he reports to the Senior Director of Administrative Applications working directly with the Technical Director, Strategic Engagement and CRM, stakeholders, subject matter experts in academic offices, and other appropriate administrative units and others on the implementation team to successfully transition to a University side CRM capability.  The Associate Director has responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

  • Leads requirements gathering, configuration and execution of the Advancement portion of a Constituent Management system with functionality to support students, faculty, staff and alumni. 
  • Leads all communications, change management, training, development and execution of strategies, migration and processing of data into the new Advancement system from existing enterprise systems. 
  • Manages the review, analysis, prioritization, configuration and evaluation of the Advancement business systems and users' needs. 
  • Documents requirements, and defines business processes, policies and procedures that are parallel and aligned with Advancement business strategies. 


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems or some related field
  • 5 - 7 years of progressively responsible experience in IT support activities, data warehouse support activities, or business - strong preference for higher education experience
  • Experience implementing enterprise applications, Salesforce solutions or other CRM systems preferred
  • Experience with Advancement systems such as Millenium Sage or implementation of enterprise fundraising software such as iModules, CVENT, or other event management systems preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advancement and fundraising applications, systems and modern data analysis and reporting tools
  • Ability to analyze and document business processes in a technical format.   
  • Understanding of project management software
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical material in a straight forward manner 
  • Ability to communicate with multiple constituents on campus to include senior management, faculty, staff and IT professionals
  • Ability to keep communication lines open and moving forward in a productive manner, in order to complete this essential technical project in a timely manner
