Assistant Director, Law Center Annual Fund - Office of Advancement

The Georgetown Law Annual Fund considers funding financial aid is our highest priority. Gifts to the Law Annual Fund help make it possible for us to offer one of the most enriching and prestigious legal educations in the world.  All undesignated Law Annual Fund gifts are directed to financial aid.  We rely on this generous support to provide the resources that are vital to securing the most sought after, most in-need students.

The Assistant Director coordinates and analyzes appeals procedures and strategies for the Law Annual Fund.  S/he collaborates on these projects to generate income from new and renewal donors, to target and cultivate prospective donors, and to position the Law Center in a compelling and meaningful way.  The Assistant Director has duties that include nut are not limited to:

  • Manages content creation and strategic partnership on all communications for the Law Annual Fund team.
  • Acts as team leader for the Graduating Class giving campaign, and provides critical assistance on recent alumni giving and reunions (specifically the 5-year and 10-year classes).  
  • Provides analysis and bench-marking to help guide strategy for other Law Annual Fund programs with a goal of increasing fundraising and participation.
  • Serves on a team of 3 other members who collaboratively carry out the important function of fund raising and volunteer management for Georgetown University's Law Annual Fund.
  • Works with recent alumni and current students to facilitate fundraising for specific projects.
  • Works closely with the central Office of Advancement Annual Giving and Law Center Advancement.


  • Bachelor's degree  or higher
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and highly developed interpersonal interaction skills
  • Ability to work exceptionally well as a member of a team, and to work and act independently in balancing multiple tasks
  • Ability to give significant attention to detail and to keep focused on priorities as set by senior managers
