A Sales Department Porter/Lot Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the sale and upkeep of vehicles and the dealership property. This position interacts with Customers and dealership personnel including Department Managers.
Porter/Lot Attendant Responsibilities

  • Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm and one Saturday per month
  • Keeping vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed by the sales managers and in accordance with dealership display standards
  • Clean vehicles for delivery
  • Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
  • Assisting with customer deliveries
  • Ensuring all vehicles are clean and in good repair on the lot and showroom
  • Ensuring all window stickers are properly placed on vehicles for display on the sales floor or lot
  • Transport of vehicles to and from other dealerships
  • Assisting with weather related clean up when necessary
  • Building and grounds clean up as needed
  • Some computer knowledge for stocking in vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned

Porter/Lot Attendant Position requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance
  • Ability to handle machinery safely
  • Ability to drive around the Washington DC area to transport vehicles
  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving history
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Successful background check and pre-employment drug screening required
