The F&B Service Manager is a key member of the supervisory team and is responsible for assisting the F&B Manager with oversight of all front-of-house food & beverage operations, as well as managing the execution of banquet and event functions at the property. The F&B Service Manager will apply their experience and knowledge to ensure that we consistently provide a guest experience that exceeds expectation. Responsibilities include: Daily oversight of Front of House (FOH) F&B Department operations in cooperation with the F&B Manager Assist with guest service training of all FOH F&B employees and help maintain consistency of service attitudes and behaviors amongst the F&B team Coordinate execution of special events and functions under the guidance of the Director of Sales Inspect and assist with event set-up and breakdown, including staging of tables, decorations, equipment, serving areas, and related activities, all in an accurate and timely manner Provide event clients with technology and A/V set-ups and assist with proper technology use Ensure event guest satisfaction by communicating with the client throughout the event regarding any changes, substitutions or special requests; assisting banquet staff throughout the event as needed (refilling drinks, delivering food, bussing tables, etc.); and following up with host prior to the conclusion of an event. Supervise and assist with training of banquet servers, restaurant servers, bartenders, beverage cart servers, host/hostess, café attendants and other employees in the FOH F&B department Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure proper detail & presentation of all F&B guest service areas Help promote all F&B sales/marketing programs to increase overall business Uphold and help ensure compliance with all F&B accounting procedures Uphold and comply with employee and F&B policies & procedures Help ensure proper handling and safe-keeping of all facility equipment Help achieve full compliance with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire and other local/state laws Uphold and ensure compliance with opening & closing procedures and appropriate cash handling practices Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Director, Director of Sales and other facility managers Must demonstrate a strong service attitude and behavior Must have a record of successful F&B a la carte and banquet service experience Must have 1-3 years of related experience in F&B event management and execution Must have exceptional interpersonal skills Must be highly organized, efficient and detail-oriented Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have strong business aptitude Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Must have knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws College degree preferred
