We are seeking a well-qualified individual for an Undergraduate Internship in our Corporate Communications Department in Washington, DC The Summer Internship Program runs from May 22, 2017 through August 11, 2017 . Job Summary: FINRA's Corporate Communications department is seeking a summer intern to provide research, media tracking and other support on various corporate communications projects. The intern will complete one-month rotations between three teams within Corporate Communications: media relations, communications services and industry/member communication. Essential Job Functions: Draft correspondence and other communications pieces; assist with proofreading copy and collateral print pieces. Draft social media content; help increase social media audience and engagement. Conduct research on specific issues, reporters and publications; perform daily media monitoring. Review select website content to ensure information is updated and accurate. Assist in development of Weekly Update. Assist with mailing list maintenance and email list queries. Participate in creative marketing development. Assist with special projects. Qualifications Education/Experience Requirements: The ideal candidate will be majoring in Communications, Finance, or Business Administration. Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space. Strong work ethic, positive attitude and professional demeanor. Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to work with others to meet deadlines. Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Working Conditions: Work is normally performed in an office environment.
