Check out team page Check out press page Check out shark tankABOUT THE POSITION:The Head of People Operations will manage the day-to-day operations of HR, such as providing consultation to management on personnel issues. He/she is responsible for full life cycle recruitment, maintaining employee records, managing open enrollment, processing employee changes, maintaining HR budget, recommending HR methods and procedures, processing payroll and ensuring compliance with all federal and state workplace regulations. The Head of People Operations will work with Finance to ensure payroll completion. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.Travel will be required to and from the NYC office.As a relatively young company, this position requires a broad range of experiences, with the skills, abilities, and maturity to work with and guide a growing company and young workforce through growth challenges.Required Knowledge/Experience: 5 years experience in Human Resources with proven ability in the following areas Handling complex employee relations issues, including conducting full employee complaint or incident investigations, providing recommended corrective actions/counsel and carrying out involuntary separations for all levels of employees Developing/modifying policies and procedures as the business or law changes Expert knowledge of Federal and State (PA & NY) labor laws and regulations (such as FLSA, ADA, FMLA, STD, LTD) Solid experience utilizing technology to enhance and measure the results of human resources programs Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs, full cycle recruitment, one on one coaching with all levels of employees Working knowledge of Greenhouse (recruiting), Zenefits (benefits), ADP (payroll) software, QuickBooks, Google platforms (Gmail, Google Drive etc.) Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Willingness to work cooperatively with all managers, employees as well as outside HR vendors Solid organizational and time management skills Must be strongly self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure, work with competing interests and deadlines, willingness to share/delegate key components of project OR exclusively handle projects from start to finish Strong conflict resolution skills Excellent research skills Good sense of humorPerks: Competitive compensation and equity, based on experience Company sponsored health, dental and vision plans A 13 MacBook Air Work alongside world-class talent Flexible Vacation / Paid Time Off Policy Healthy snacks, coffee & tea offered daily Team building activities and catered lunches Personal Style Encouraged (or not, whatever youre in to)
