Research new accounting pronouncements and identify opportunities to improve overall operational efficiency. Review work products to ensure technical accuracy, deliverable quality, and overall value to client. Perform analysis of business processes and internal controls to identify risks. Validate data elements to meet reporting parameters. Document Concepts of Operations and recommended cost management improvements. Support research and analysis on audit regulation and policy relating to audit requirement standards. Provide data analysis in support of high-risk audit areas. Provide suggestions to management leaders and external clients to improve client internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial statements. Perform control and substantive testing for significant audit areas. Maintain relationships and communicate with key client personnel to understand business operations, processes, and functions. Prepare presentations and briefings, and actively participate in client meetings and day-to-day interactions. Actively participate in career development activities and technical training of staff.What Do You Need to Succeed?Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Management. 5+ years of federal budgetary accounting or auditing experience. At least 2+ years of audit experience. MBA, CPA, PMP, CGFM and/or CDFM. Professional services experience and/or specific relevant industry job experience. Active DoD Secret clearance or active interim DoD Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with DoD and/or federal budgetary accounting or auditing. Experience with FIAR, USSGL, OMB A-123, CFO Act, FMFIA, FFMIA, GAO Green Book, GAGAS (Yellow Book), and JV entries.
