Job ID: 262010 Direct Hire We are in search of an upbeat, dynamic professional to join our client's accounting team. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for the bi-monthly payroll of over 600 people, along with monthly accounting support. What You'll Do: Full responsibility for semi-monthly payroll processing cycle for several hundred employees Review Deltek Time & Expense (T&E) entries and timely process all timesheets Work closely with Human Resources to maintain employee data including but not limited to employee basic information, direct deposit, tax withholding and deductions in ADP system Process new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, and pay adjustments Review all payroll data for the current pay cycle, including reconciliation of all deductions against current benefit elections and corresponding invoices Calculate leave accruals, post payroll journals and maintain leave balances in Deltek Prepare semi-monthly 401k contribution file Perform payroll month-end, quarter-end and annual close functions including reconciliations, review quarterly and annual tax filings and take appropriate actions to resolve discrepancies Assist with month-end close including account reconciliations; assist with accounts payable and billing as necessary Perform other duties as assigned Who You Are: Associate/Bachelor Degree in accounting or finance preferred Payroll certification preferred but not required At least 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll Experience with Deltek GCS and/or Costpoint and ADP system is required Strong understanding of general ledger as it applies to payroll Strong communication and customer service skills Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP) Demonstrated experience with Excel Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities, adjust quickly to changing priorities, work well in a team environment Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task About Eliassen Group: Eliassen Group has been driving the success of our clients, consultants, and employees within Technology Staffing and Consulting Services since 1989.
