This position is being filled under the Acquisition Expedited Hiring Authority (EHA) using OPM's Direct Hire Authority.

This position may be filled at either GS-09, GS-11 or GS-12 grade level, please indicate the grade for which you want to be considered. If selected at the lower grade level, incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next grade level in the time frame allowed by regulations and upon management's request. Promotion is contingent upon satisfactory completion of required training, regulatory requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the duties. Promotion is not guaranteed or implied.

    Specialized experience required for the GS-09 grade level is:

    Experience related to international relations, international security, or program management.

    Specialized experience required for the GS-11 grade level is:

    Experience supporting programs or projects aimed at international capacity building.

    Specialized experience required for the GS-12 grade level is:

    Experience in determining technical requirements and implementation plans for international programs or projects aimed at countering proliferation of WMD.

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.

    This is an Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (AT&L) Workforce position in the Program Management career field. The incumbent will be required to become certified, Level 2 in the applicable career field within 24 months, unless a Position Requirements Waiver is approved to extend the 24 months. Currently 4 years of related acquisition experience is required for Level 2 certification. Individuals hired without experience will be place on a waiver for remaining time in order to meet the requirements.

    TDY to CONUS and OCONUS locations including remote sites is required up to 25% of the incumbents time.

    Subject to pre-employment drug testing and periodic drug testing thereafter.

    Medical inoculations are recommended for entry into certain geographic areas that have known disease prevalence for which U.S. citizens are not routinely inoculated. The incumbent is encouraged to receive appropriate inoculations; however the decision to accept them is totally voluntary.
