Hughes is hiring a Sales Manager to focus on growing their Consumer Business in the Northeastern Region. The Sales Manager will be home based and will travel extensively as required. 

  • Perform sales functions –  Constant contact with customers (Distributors and Dealers) in the Northeastern Region
  • Motivate Retailers and Agent-Dealers to sell Hughes Products and gain mind share against their other products
  • Respond to requests for proposals and other documentation
  • Follow up on qualified leads and new lead generation
  • Work closely with the marketing team and supervisor to grow territory
  • Use their experience in growing a sales territory

  • Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 or more years of sales experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have experience and knowledge in the Satellite television and/or satellite broadband industry
  • Professional appearance and behavior
  • Strong knowledge of retailer and/or distribution sales a plus
  • Must have a proven record of building and growing a territory
  • Candidate will be able to prospect and cold call on new retailers
  • Successful candidate will help our retailers grow their business - becoming a trusted business advisor.
  • Able to travel approximately 75%
  • Able to create presentations, and deliver material using laptop and other electronic tools, in a clear, polished, professional manner
  • Must have solid PC skills
  • Requires ability to follow-through on promises and commitments to retailers
  • Candidate will handle 20-30 dealer accounts over multiple states.   Must be able to multi-task
  • Must  be able to motivate and drive retailers to new sales levels
