Contract Surveillance Representative
This position is located at the Armed Forces Retirement Home-Washington (AFRH-W). The position is located in Campus Operations, Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) and reports directly to the Supervisory COR for general guidance and instructions, and as required, for logistics coordination and problem solving. The Chief of Campus Operations will provide overall direction. The primary purpose of the position is to monitor Transportation & Logistics contractor performance by performing a number of monitoring tasks regarding contracts which require the preparation and submission of reports to the Supervisory COR, the Contracting Officer and the Accounting Office.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
• Monitoring transportation industry standards, vehicles, and operating requirements; AND
• Reviewing invoices for accuracy and authorizing payments; AND
• Experience with vehicle leasing, repairs and return policies; AND
• Writing Statement of Works and Independent Cost Estimates for the transportation contract requirements.
You may qualify based on education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B or J.D., if related.
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.
Education Requirements: The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
