Job Summary:

Westat is seeking a social scientist with strong evaluation, analytic and management skills to participate in nationally significant health behavior and other social science research studies.


Job Responsibilities:

· Work with a project team to develop and implement evaluations of public health and social science programs and grant mechanisms.· Conduct bibliometric and other portfolio analyses that link to project goals and outcomes.· Conduct both qualitative and quantitative analyses.· Prepare written technical reports and presentations. · Participate in manuscript preparation. · Initiate, manage, and direct multiple tasks and projects.· Ability to conceptualize evaluation designs, metrics, and protocols.


Job Requirements:

· A Master's degree in social sciences, such as sociology, psychology, or public health and at least 8 years of experience is required.  The candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills.  Experience with government databases such as QVR is preferred.
