The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG), a non-profit scientific organization consisting of approximately 8,000 members, seeks an experienced professional to provide administrative and logistical support for the Meetings Department.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, providing administrative support for activities of the Meetings Department, and coordinating and maintaining an effective and efficient flow of work. Additional duties will include assisting with correspondence and general inquiries, preparing material packets for meetings and events, and updating documents/forms as directed.
Candidates must have at least two years of administrative assistance experience and/or experience handling multiple deadlines and tasks. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
The ideal candidate will be efficient, creative, and act with unassailable professionalism. Judgment, flexibility, resourcefulness, integrity, and diligence are expected in all aspects of administrative support functions.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as is proficiency with Microsoft Office. Some travel is required.
