This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Office of Pharmaceutical Quality(OPQ), Office of Program and Regulatory Operations (OPRO), in Silver Spring, MD.

This TERM appointment does not provide a permanent career-conditional appointment or reemployment right to a previous permanent appointment held. TERM appointments do not provide status in the competitive service.

NOTE: The agency has the option of extending a term appointment up to the 4-year limit.

  • Basic Requirements for GS-0601- Regulatory Health Project Manager:

    Have successfully completed a full four-year course of study at an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree with a major study in an academic field related to health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position.

    In addition to meeting the basic requirement for Regulatory Project Health Manager, GS-0601-12/13 you must meet the following:

    For the GS-12 Grade level: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, formulating and managing regulated product research and review projects; applying project management principles in planning and organizing concurrent activities and anticipating barriers and obstacles; providing oral and written briefings and recommendations regarding scientific projects.

    For the GS-13 Grade level:  Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service evaluating and reviewing technical or procedural data; utilizing project management practices and tools to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects, evaluating scientific and technical data for efficacy and safety; recommending methods for performing data analysis or conducting multi-disciplinary administrative activities,  and for delivering presentations to various audiences on scientific or technical data.

    Conditions of Employment:
