This position is located in Washington, DC with the Department of Housing; Office eof Housing Operations. The Office of Housing provides vital public services through its nationally administered programs. It oversees the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the largest mortgage insurer in the world, and regulates important parts of the housing industry. The Office of Housing also helps ensure consumers can access housing counseling and provides affordable rental housing through its Multifamily housing program. The Office of Housing is committed to helping all Americans obtain safe, decent affordable housing.
The Office of Housing Operations supports the infrastructure for the Office of Housing. Housing Operations provides resources and services that are essential for Housing's program offices to meet the goals, objectives, and mission of the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). Housing Operations also acts as the principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner and the General Deputy Assistant Secretary for Housing-Deputy Federal Housing Commissioner, taking a leadership role on various Housing matters.

For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Providing workforce analysis to an organization and high-level managers; AND
- Developing new or modifying program policies, regulations, goals or objectives.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
