Supervisory Contract Specialist
This position is located in the Defense Media Activity (DMA), which is a Department of Defense (DoD) field activity reporting to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Public Affairs). The DMA is a worldwide media organization employing state-of-the-art and emerging multi-media production and distribution technologies and operates from multiple locations in the US and overseas and with deployed combat and contingency forces throughout the world.

Basic Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees; AND at least 24 semester hours of study from an accredited institution of higher education in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management obtained within or in addition to the bachelor's degree OR graduate education in one or a combination of fields listed above. My resume clearly demonstrates that I have a Bachelor's Degree and that I have least 24 qualifying semester hours in above coursework. I have included transcripts with my application.
A current civilian employee in DoD who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-1102 while serving in the military on or before September 30, 2000 (and have listed this experience in my resume), are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
A current civilian employee in DoD, who occupied GS-1102 positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000, as listed in my resume.
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Reviewing procurement requests to assure clarity, adequacy, and completeness; participating in strategic planning for mission and operations; and developing contract terms and conditions.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of
credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time

your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter
hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.

Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation.
This position is emergency-essential (E-E). In the event of a crises situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority. The incumbent or the designated alternate may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively; therefore, the position is designated "key" which requires the incumbent or designated alternative, to be screened from military recall.
This is an Acquisition, Technology & Logistics (AT&L) Workforce Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) in the Contracting Career Field. Only candidates who meet the requirements for Acquisition Corps membership will be placed into the position unless a waiver of Corps membership is approved. The incumbent of this position will be required to sign a written agreement to remain in this critical acquisition position for a minimum of 3 years. The incumbent will be required to become certified at Level Ill in the applicable career field within 24 months, unless a Position Requirements Waiver is approved to extend the 24 months. The incumbent is required to become a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps.
