Selected Reserve Incentive Program: Acceptance of this position will cause termination of Federal bonuses pursuant to respective Selected Reserve Incentive Programs (SRIP). This termination may be with or without recoupment of payments already made.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:  This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military rank and assignment in the District of Columbia Air National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Experience or other work which demonstrated the ability to acquire and to apply a practical knowledge and understanding of the program objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements relating to the work of the position.
    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least Twenty-four (24) months' experience in arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight. Experience in pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers.  Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems
    MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military assignment (AFSC) within One (1) year of the effective date of placement.

    MINIMUM MILITARY RANK: E-4/SrA

    MAXIMUM MILITARY RANK: E-6/TSgt

    Compatible Military Assignments (afsc): 1C0X2

    **Must possess the 1C0X2 AFSC***

    Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience – Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in fields listed below leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements. Education -Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.

    Other requirements: For positions requiring a security clearance the applicant must be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
