About the Agency

The District of Columbia Courts consists of the Court of Appeals, the Superior Court, and the Court System. DC Courts constitutes the Judicial Branch of the District of Columbia Government and is separate and distinct from the Executive and Legislative Branches.

We are seeking motivated law and graduate students who love a challenge and can bring a fresh perspective and innovative solutions to the District of Columbia Courts.This position is located in the Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must submit to a background and security investigation.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be enrolled as a law or graduate degree - seeking student.
  • Must commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
  • You must be a U.S.Citizens or individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residency or authorized by Immigration and Naturalization Service to intern in the U.S.

    You must be at least 18 years old.

    You must be enrolled at least half-time as a law school student with interest in civil mediation or graduate student (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a conflict resolution program. The student must be in good standing at his or her university with a GPA of 3.0 or better.

    You must be able to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, for 10 weeks during the May, June, July and August time period.
