GEICO's Marketing Department is looking for a highly motivated Marketing Coordinator to join the Special Audience Marketing Team. Whether it is Motorcycles, RVs, Boats, Homes, Condos, or Military and Federal, our team works each day to promote these products and help consumers remember that GEICO can save people money on more than just car insurance. Your primary focus would be on the Motorcycle and RV product lines, and the ability to multi-task is key.
 
We work in a close team environment and with other groups within Marketing on various ways to support the advertising for these products. Whether you are working with the Direct Mail, Media Advertising, Internet, GFR, Print, Creative, or the teams in Virginia Beach and Fredericksburg, the ability to work closely with others to achieve a common goal will be critical.
 
A sizeable portion of the position will be focused on budget and expense tracking and reporting. Comfort with Excel at the intermediate or higher level is a must. Excellent interpersonal skills are required as you will be communicating regularly with outside vendors about media billing and placement. Additionally, there are day to day job duties that will include invoice processing.   As a member of the Special Audience team, you will be exposed to media buying and sponsorships, so travel to events may be required as part of this position (including over the weekend), up to as much as 25% of the time during the busy spring and summer season. This job will have you working on multiple projects in different mediums allowing for advancement opportunities in the future.
 
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field with an in-major GPA of at least 3.0 is required; however, other degrees may be taken into consideration
* Budgeting experience necessary
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel (intermediate level or higher)
* Strong people skills with excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
