The Change and Configuration Manager will provide in-depth knowledge of change and configuration management processes, including practical application within multiple environments and classifications. You will be responsible for implementing appropriate business processes through the asset lifecycle within the DHS St. Elizabeths environment that will ensure and enforce DHS policies within the IT infrastructure. As the Change and Configuration manager, you will play a key role in helping projects (change initiatives) meet business, schedule and budget objectives. You will ensure that changes and proposed configurations meet the needs of end users to include business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary focus will be creating and implementing change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement. As the Change and Configuration manager, you will be responsible for:
- Working with engineers to gather requirements to support DHS implementation and communications plans that support change function for the enterprise.Manage change requests in the Remedy environment from draft stage to closure working closely with the change implementer and stakeholders throughout the change process.Provide reports to stakeholders and the SEITCCB as required.Support SEITCCB meetings and respond to questions from the chair of the board as requiredSubmit artifacts that are free from errors and meet DHS guidelines for adjudication by the board.Support configuration management activities by ensuring updates are made to the CMDB and to standard SOPs that support the change management process.Support training of new engineers as they come on board to ensure change and configuration management processes are followed.Developing SOPs that support the change management process.
