Hughes has an exciting job opportunity for a Technician in Germantown, MD to join a dynamic TEAM in support of the Engineering organization.  The candidate selected for this opportunity will perform all operations necessary to test, align, and troubleshoot a variety of modules at the component level. 

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with installations and upgrades of equipment
  • Monitor and troubleshoot connections, traffic, and outages
  • Provide technical documentation, correspondence, and communication
  • Interact with customers and outside vendors


  • Basic Requirements:
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline or related field
  • 4+ years computer hardware or technical experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with computer hardware
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating system (Linux is a plus)
  • Understand IP routing and switching
  • Knowledge of spectrum analyzers and cable testers
  • Experience repairing electronic equipment
  • Strong customer interface skills
