Support Center Specialist
The George Mason University Information Technology Services (ITS) Support Center invites applicants for a Support Center Specialist position located on the Fairfax, Va., campus. Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for researching, resolving, and responding to technical questions received from faculty, staff, and students via telephone, e-mail, and the walk-up service window in a timely and professional manner. This position also requires dispatching and escalating calls to other teams when necessary.
Required Qualifications: * Must be motivated and a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, and have a positive attitude; and * Demonstrated experience solving problems with a wide variety of computer software and hardware in a customer service environment.
Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Service Desk Express (SDE), EasyVista, SQL databases and/or antivirus software are highly beneficial; and * Microsoft and/or other industry standard certifications are an additional benefit.
Salary range is $40,000-$45,000; commensurate with education and experience.
Working hours are Sunday through Thursday, 1:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
