Customer Service Representative
The George Mason University Student Accounts Office, within Fiscal Services, invites qualified applicants for a part-time Customer Service Representative position. Responsibilities: This is a front-line position which will provide excellent customer service and serve as the receptionist for the department; assist with walk-ins; processing of various documents to include schedule adjustments, withdrawal requests, and stop-payment requests; and distributing departmental mail and processing incoming check payments through the Cashiers Office.
Required Qualifications: * Associate degree in business, accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience; * Demonstrated experience in customer service; * Demonstrated successful job experience requiring attention to detail and hands-on workload; * Well-organized individual with strong interpersonal/communication skills; and * Knowledge of student privacy laws.
Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, account analysis and reconciliation; and * Experience with the Ellucian Banner student information system.
This part-time position is eligible for benefits, including health insurance.
