Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks. 1. Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques. 2. Installs and configures network hardware and software. 3. Provides network troubleshooting and support. 4. Provides technical support and training to end-users. 5. Administers network security. 6. Backs up file server data/disks. 7. Provides minor to moderately complex server maintenance. 8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. 9. Participates in special projects as required. 10. Coordinate, track, analyze, document, and report AFIN IAVA, IAVB, TCNO and MTO compliance requested AFIN A Sis and vulnerabilities; classified message incidents (CMI); electronic storage incidents (ESI); personally identifiable information (PII) incidents; active incident monitoring (AIM); network vulnerability report (NVR); FFIN incidents and high interest items. 12. Under supervision provide network administration support of the AFIN infrastructure boundaries, directory services, PKI, messaging and collaboration environments. Various duties include operations and maintenance of the I-NOSC infrastructure, supporting the ESU's directory services and messaging and collaborating, and provide AFIN reporting cell management of detailed reports on network and system status. Tracks the implementation of NOTAMS, TCNOs, TCTOs, and NTOs. Support network operations and maintenance to include installing upgrades; monitoring network performance and network diagnostics. Select positions will support the Enterprise Telephone Management system. Provides support often times on a shift work basis. By requisition level of 8570 Certification and OEM/Industry, Certifications will be added to be in compliance. Education Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Qualifications 1-3 years of directly related experience supporting network operations.
