Job Summary
Westat is seeking a Research Assistant to support data collection operations for a variety of survey research projects. You may be involved in various stages of a project from research design through data collection, analysis, and reporting.  Applicants with the desire to join a team that is addressing the rapidly changing nature of the field are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

· Support operations for complex survey projects by monitoring performance and quality and identifying process improvements while building positive relationships with project teams and delivering high-quality work. · In addition to project management, the role involves the performance of detailed tasks such as developing and executing staff training, writing and reporting, and preparing materials for delivery to our clients. · Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities under tight deadlines with limited supervision. · You would contribute to methodological and operational decision-making, monitor performance, and apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure projects achieve their goals on time and within budget.
Job Requirements:
· A bachelor's degree with 1 year of survey research experience or a master's degree with 1 year of survey research experience is required.
Experience with telephone, web and/or mail surveys, dashboards, adult learning and remote training development or data management are advantageous.  To be successful in this role you must possess an analytic mind, excellent oral and written communication, detail orientation, a strong interest in social science research, a strong work ethic, ability to periodically work outside normal business hours, and a highly organized approach to work. Applicants should be able to work in a team environment and meet tight deadlines.
