The selected candidate will support the Joint Staff J7 and will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and technical support in the day-to-day operations and monitoring communication links between both classified and unclassified computer simulation models and C2 systems. Have a working knowledge of GCCS-J, AGILE CLIENT, ICSF and JRE C2 systems of the GCCS architecture for the JSJ7 training events.

Command and Control C2 Operator/Administrator

    Must possess an active Secret clearance.DoD 8570.01-M to meet IAT Level II compliance are required.
      Valid Security+ CEPreferred Operating System Certification
    Responsible for the daily computer operational support exercisesMonitor communication links between computer simulation models and C2 systemsTroubleshoots and resolves installation failure or non-functioning applicationsExperience in GCCS system administration; systems integration; network administration; and configuration, installation, and overall experience in operating and integrating new system applications.Experience with either ADSI or JRE TADIL systemExperience with Common Operational Picture (COP) Synchronization Tools (CST) and Integrated.Familiar with Advanced Simulation Technologies Incorporated (ASTi) Virtual Radio Suite VOISUS deployment for exercise event support.Administrative ability to resolve Tier 1 and 2 Trouble Tickets for GCCS-related issues.Experience in establishing and administering Common Operational Picture (COP) communication channels and track databases, and assisting users in building and tailoring COP displays.Familiar with the Solaris 10/11 Operating System as a System Administrator
Technical understanding of computer technology, networking and security, as well as the communication skills and professionalism now required of all entry-level IT professionals.

Working knowledge in Network technologies, installation and configuration, media and topologies, management, and security.

Assigned to the Command Control (C2) division under the J7 department, our mission is to provide the bulk of the joint force development in support to the Combatant Commands and Services Current worldwide operations in support of the Warfighter.

Education Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

 

Security + CE and Operating System Certifcations required.

Qualifications Active Secret Clearance Required.

 

0-2 years of directly related computer systems analysis and/or programming experience.
