The EMMES Corporation, founded in 1977, is a successful contract research organization based in Rockville, Maryland, dedicated to the support of medical research with a public health impact.

EMMES is seeking an experienced Recruitment Representative responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform full life-cycle recruitment functions (source, recruit, screen, schedule and coordinate candidate interviews, reference/background check process and handle all interview follow-up activities ( prepare and send offer letter packages, send new hire welcome letter and decline letters)
  • Administer all required assessments during candidate interview
  • Post and maintain the internal and external open positions boards
  • Track, update and maintain all interview data in the company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to develop strong relationships to maximize effectiveness of the recruiting process
  • Communicate with managers and candidates on a regular basis to establish rapport, provide feedback, follow-up and ensure timeliness
  • Participate in recruiting events (annual conferences, career fairs, Emmes Open House event, etc)
  • Follow established company policies to ensure non-discriminatory and legally compliant and ethical practices
  • Send out New Hire Notices and prepare and perform New Hire employee orientation sessions as needed
  • Attend weekly recruiting meetings and other related staffing meetings
  • Assist as needed with weekly, monthly and yearly staffing reports
  • Perform administrative duties, which include but are not limited to; filing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, data entry, and scheduling meetings related to the recruitment
  • Track and maintain yearly AAP
  • Experience with Immigration recruitment process
  • Other HR related duties as assigned by the Staffing Manager

Requirements:

  • 4 plus years of relevant Corporate Recruitment experience required, experience recruiting clinical research professionals a plus
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and problem-solve in a fast paced work environment
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff across various departments
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (Taleo ATS platform preferred)
  • Experience posting jobs on a variety of online job boards and other recruiting resources
  • Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule as needed
  • Strong business ethics and a high level of professionalism
  • High attention to detail
