Senior Network Engineer
Provide leadership in managing projects introduced by the architecture team assuring full implementation and documentation standards are adhered to and complete projects within provided timelines.
Support all aspects of the network management process assuring requests, implementation, and problems are delivered as required with minimal impact to the enterprise network.
Deploy solutions and network design implementations in a timely manner.
Take initiative to proactively discover potential network issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network related problems and serve as escalation point for Sev-1 issues.
Participate in or lead problem resolution and cause analysis with network engineers and analysts.
Participate in an on-call rotation during both business and non-business hours.
Work during non-production hours or weekend maintenance window to deploy enterprise or member affecting network changes.
Deploy and document changes in accordance with problem and change management process.
Communicate to senior management on resolution and root cause resulting from the outage or service interruption.
Participate in creation of formal and informal policies and procedures for the engineering team.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and analysts.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field required.
Minimum of seven (7) years’ of experience in IT preferably with Network Engineering experience is required.
Broad knowledge in background in TCP/IP, MPLS, LAN, WAN, and VPN.
Extensive Experience with EIGRP, BGP, IPSEC, iWAN, VRF, VLAN, VTP, DLSW, QoS, NHRP, PfRv3, STP and netflow.
Experience with F5 load balancer is strongly desired. Previous work experience load balancing is required.
Experience with Cisco UCS and VMWare is desirable.
Experience supporting IP-based voice and video systems, including implementing QoS on both LAN and WAN infrastructure.
Familiar with hosted collaboration services for VoIP systems and with SIP integration techniques across systems and carriers.
This position will not supervise employees.
Cisco certification CCNP is required.
