Summary

PenFed is hiring a Director, Credit Card Operations in either McLean, VA or Omaha, NE.  The primary purpose of this job is to manage the daily and ongoing activities of the Credit Card business  platform and technical operations, production and partnerships for the Payment Products & Services organization, developing new programs and ensuring efficient, timely and accurate processing of all work within related regulations, partner agreements and PenFed policies and procedures.

    Manage the daily end to end operations and production activities associated with credit card portfolio processing to include network architecture, product parameters, platform settings and overall delivery of required functionality and infrastructure while maintaining a best in class member experience and operating expense control including associated back office processes. Lead the ongoing implementation of product and systematic changes necessary for existing and new product and services development including production break/fixes. Be the lead technical subject matter expert for all Credit Card product, portfolio and platform operations. Provide credit card technical guidance to employees; establishing priorities, providing oversight for complex problems for members and staff and assigning job duties, ensuring that goals and standards are met daily.                              Accountable for establishing and managing all applicable internal audit and regulatory exam submissions and results, delivering a robust methodology of transparent and monitored controls. Continually assess operational needs; develop and implement system and workflow enhancements that drive improved efficiency, lower operational expense, innovation and superior Member experience. Directly manage associated vendors; including but not limited to contract SLA adherence, pricing, issue resolution and optimal Member experience requirements. Lead 24/7 credit card operations issue resolution and defect management rigor, routines and response.                              Effectively communicate regular performance, vendor status and strategic initiative updates to organizational and enterprise executives. Develop, implement and measure goals, standards, policies and procedures for staff.                                                        Perform personnel-related duties such as staffing, performance evaluations, training, development and disciplinary actions.    Remain current on all changes to regulations and the systems, ensuring the timely implementation of all revisions.                                        Ensure that appropriate regulatory and audit best standards and demands are developed, maintained and achieve 100% satisfactory ratings.            
    Represent all Credit Card strategic  initiatives as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert with internal and external partners.
 

Education and Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

    Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required. Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years’ of experience with Credit Card Operations and Production environments is required, specifically First Data. Minimum of five (5) year in a supervisory role is required.
 

Supervisory Responsibility

    This position will directly supervise employees.
