PenFed is now accepting applications for our 2017 Summer College IT Internship Program based in Chantilly, Virginia. 


The PenFed 2017 Summer College IT Internship Program is an exclusive, 9-week intensive program that provides college students hands-on technology industry skills in software development, cyber security, infrastructure, database management, networking, and mobile development.


Interns will be assigned to various projects in the IT division, based on the intern’s major. As part of the program, interns will be exposed to a variety of IT processes and management to operate an IT department of a credit union. Interns will have the opportunity to meet with our Executive team and learn from industry experts. At the conclusion of the program, interns will present a collaborative Executive presentation.


The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly-motivated and business-focused with a desire to pursue a career in the IT field.



PenFed 2017 Summer College IT Internship Program Qualifications

    Enrolled in a four-year institution Minimum of 60+ credits Rising juniors and seniors will be given preference Current undergraduate students with a major or concentration in software development, computer science, information system, IT management, Cyber Security or any IT related majors Professional attitude and demeanor Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Desire to work in a corporate and business setting Innovation and strong problem-solving skills Strong analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Excellent client service mindset and attitude ROTC and Military Reservist students strongly encouraged to apply
