Position Overview
Lead the model risk governance and corresponding model quality assurance activities for I&CM models
and related applications used in I&CM. This involves planning, managing, and facilitating required
governance and assurance activities defined by corporate policy, standards, and associated divisional
procedures throughout the model life cycle including development, change management, validation,
UAT, monitoring, reporting, assessment and retirement.
Responsibilities include:
*Guide the modeling area and business users to achieve sound understanding of corporate model
risk policy and standards, and related divisional procedures
*Lead and maintain the development and updates to the divisional procedures related to the model
risk
*Manage the 1st Line of Defense review of model documentation and ongoing model monitoring
reports for accuracy, completeness and compliance with associated policy, standards and
procedures
*Lead the on‐going model monitoring meetings and facilitate annual model reviews
*Provide periodic information to senior management team related to model governance activities
including the collection of divisional model governance KRI and KPI
*Interact with I&CM model owners and users, Enterprise Model Risk, Financial Engineering, Risk &
Controls, and Internal Audit to facilitate the resolution of model risk issues
*Sheppard new models and model changes through the change management process and associated
tools such as MRT
*Facilitate UAT of new models and model changes; work with model owners and users to develop
and execute test plans
*Lead in the development of model project plans, business requirements and business cases by
assisting model users and owners
*Develop and maintain SharePoint site for divisional model‐related artifacts
*Lead the divisional work for supporting corporate level effort in the development of work‐flow tool
for recording model governance activities and storing centralized model information

Basic Requirements
*Master’s degree or higher plus 5 – 7 years of related experience, or combination of education and
experience
*Strong understanding of the best practices used in model development, implementation, and usage
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly written communication skills
*Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
*Strong project management skills
*Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office and Web tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio,
SharePoint)
*Self‐directed, with the capability of managing multiple priorities and efficient in proposing solutions

Preferred Skills
*Experience in an audit or controls environment for modeling activities
*Experience in model validation process
*Experience creating and maintaining SharePoint site
