Position Overview
The Information Systems Audit department in the Internal Audit Division determines whether Freddie Mac’s IT risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and implemented by management, are adequate and functioning effectively. The IT Audit Associate will be responsible for supporting audits of the Freddie Mac’s IT Service Management function, supporting comprehensive integrated audits of applications in production, pre-implementation reviews of IT systems, and consulting on risk and control matters related to the infrastructure and application environment. Each review includes an evaluation of the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls and compliance with policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:
* Assisting in documenting control weaknesses related to testing exceptions
* Working with Internal Audit Management to provide recommendations to internal clients for creation of agreed upon corrective actions
* Assisting in the preparation of draft audit planning documents, audit procedures, and final reports for review by the Manager based on the work performed
* Providing resolutions to an assortment of problems
* Working under normal supervision while following established directions

Basic Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration with an emphasis in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting Information Systems, Math, or related discipline
* Experience working in a team-oriented environment as well as independently

Preferred Skills
* Big 4, ITGC, SDLC, application control reviews, systems development
* Banking/financial services experience
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Progress towards a certification of CISA, CPA, or CIA
* Knowledge of industry standards such as COBIT and ITIL
